Sheep Faecal Egg Count Kit
All kits contain a prepaid returns envelope. Our kits contains all that you need to carry out a faecal egg count for an individual sheep or flock.
We screen for the following:
- Dictyocaulus (Lungworm)
- Fasciola (Liver Fluke)
- Nematodirus
- Trichuris (Whipworm)
- Moniezia (Tapeworm)
- Coccidiosis
- Ascarid (Roundworm)
- Strongyles (Redworm)
- Strongyloides Papillosus (Threadworm)
- ALSO… includes an estimated percentage for Haemonchus within the Strongyle count
The information on both the number and type of parasites can then be used to determine whether or not an anti-parasitic treatment is required. This way you are only worming or targeted worming when required, reducing the risk of resistance to wormers.
Haemonchus Add-on (ONLY for current SMART Plan customers) Sheep Only
- This option is for those that hold current Feclab SMART Plans only (Purchased prior to September 2025).

- This reference number will then need to be added at check-out, under “Reference”.
- This must be purchased within 24 hours from receiving your result.
- This is not a kit, it is an additional test that is run, in addition to your standard faecal egg count.
Haemonchus Add-on (ONLY for previously purchased standard livestock FEC kit) Sheep Only
- This option is for those that have purchased a standard livestock FEC kit, prior to the release of our Haemonchus kit only (September 25).

- This must be purchased within 24 hours from receiving your result.
